We are looking for volunteers to take part in a study of how singers think about and relate to their voices. Participants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Between ages 22-35
  2. Have received a degree in voice (undergraduate or higher) at a university in Canada or the United States

University of Toronto: Choral Conducting Symposium 2016 with Rollo Dillworth

Registration is open for the University of Toronto Choral Conducting Symposium 2016.

For secondary school, church, and community chorus conductors. This intensive one-week seminar is an excellent opportunity or music teachers and community chorus conductors to gain professional development and continuing education credits. The combination of learning and camaraderie of fellow music teachers and other conductors makes for a stimulating and enjoyable experience.

Peeking into Voice & Piano Pedagogy & Performance

Peek into the intriguing world of pedagogy and performance at the University of Toronto.  January 12, 2012

Noon Concert 12:10 – 1:00 pm – Pedagogy Profs Perform
Soprano Lorna MacDonald, pianist Midori Koga, with violinist Erika Raum and Russell Hartenberger,
vibraphone, perform music by Mozart, Donizetti, Saint-Saëns, John Greer, and songs from Japan.

Workshop 1:30 – 3:30 pm – Pedagogy Workshops
Lorna MacDonald and Midori Koga, with doctoral voice pedagogy and piano pedagogy students, present a fascinating workshop exploring the expanding field of pedagogy. Explore balance, breath, and student-centered learning in the classroom and studio. Music teachers, performers, and students alike will enjoy this event.
