RCM’s High School Voice Performance Intensive

Performers ages 14 to 18 are encouraged to register for the Royal Conservatory’s 3rd Annual Vocal Performance Intensive.

Join young singers from across North America in this unique and immersive learning experience. Leading professionals and music educators provide daily lessons and coaching, as well as classes in acting, movement, diction, and musicianship skills. Students are encouraged to apply for one or both camps.

In an intensive, yet supportive, environment, students will experience life in a Musical School Program, further enhancing their studies with their teacher.

Each session provides multiple performance opportunities, giving participants a chance to showcase their new skills. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to work with stellar faculty and to bond with your singing peers.

Laurier Conservatory’s First Ever Music Theatre Academy

Beckett School LogoThe Laurier Conservatory is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the very first WLU Music Theatre Academy. This three-week professional training program is designed for classically-trained singers who want to hone their skills in acting, dance and belt/mix vocalization.

Successful applicants will attend classes Monday through Friday in acting improvisation and text, Alexander Technique, Feldenkreis and appropriate dance styles. Regular lessons, coachings and master classes with crossover voice teachers will develop healthy belt/mix techniques. Instructors will join us from The Stratford Festival, Sheridan College, WLU’s Faculty of Music, and elsewhere.

Stratford Summer Music 2017 – Applications Are Now Open

Stratford Summer Music 2017For the third year,  the 2017 Vocal Academy at Stratford Summer Music will offer intensive training in professional preparation (opera, oratorio, art song) and in performance skills for up to eight graduate, post-graduate and early professional-level singers and for two pianists pursuing a career in vocal accompaniment. Participants will receive daily individual sessions with the internationally renowned Faculty and will take part in master classes which will be open to the public. The program will culminate in a public performance by Faculty and participants.
