Jennifer Budd

Director-At-Large, Assistant Web Administrator

Jennifer Budd holds a bachelor’s degree in music (vocal performance) from Redeemer University as well as a certificate in vocal pedagogy (voice function 101 and mechanics of Mix-belt) from Maddie Tarbox Vocal Studio. In addition to her teaching, she is an award winning / nominated contemporary artist and has been an active musical theatre performer in her local community. Her most recent credits include Maria Rainer in Theatre Ancaster’s “The Sound of Music” (2024), Ensemble/Eva’s Sister in the Brott Music Festival’s “Evita” (2024), and Elle Woods in Theatre Ancaster’s “Legally Blonde: The Musical” (2023).

Budd is currently teaching privately at her studio in Hamilton, ON (Singer Studio) as well a Lead Instructor and curriculum developer for the Grade 1 music program and group vocal program (musical theatre specific) at the Hamilton Music Collective. Her studio has grown dramatically this year, with students ranging from 6 to 65 years, primarily focusing on middle school students to those in their early 20s.

Budd has been teaching since 2015 and is passionate about mentoring singers, musicians, songwriters, and artists. It is a joy and privilege to be guiding singers in more than just their understanding of their vocal instrument, but also building confidence and healing through vocalizing. She is especially gifted with children and youth and delights to see all singers thrive.

Budd sits on the board of the Hamilton Music Festival and is a member of the ORMTA, CARAS, and SOCAN.
