The NATS National Student Auditions (NSA) begin at the Canadian Region level in both a virtual
and live format and progress to the national preliminaries, semifinals, and finals. Singers can
enter the Canadian Region auditions if they have participated or not in their Chapter
Auditions and must be entered by a NATS member.
January 1, 2027 – Regional registration opens for all singers to send in their
application & video submissions to the Region round. Go here to find
rules/regulations/repertoire requirements.
February 9, 2027 – Deadline for live and virtual application and video
submissions to the Region round of virtual and live auditions
February 20, 2027 – LIVE Canadian Region Auditions – Mount Allison
University, Sackville, New Brunswick (February 19 – 21/Canadian Region
Conference)
February 11 – February 26, 2027 – Region virtual adjudications. (All
teachers/members submitting students are required to adjudicate)
Mid-March – Announcement of Region winners (virtual and live combined) will
be sent to all participating teachers and placed on the website. The top 5
singers in each category will be recommended to proceed to the semi-final
video round of the NSA.
End of March – Eligible participants will receive an email invite from National to
apply to the National video-round
April 9, 2027 – Deadline for all eligible participants to submit their documents
and entry fee ($75 USD) to the National video-round
Mid-May – Announcement of NSA semi-finalists
July 2027 dates TBD – NSA live semi-finals and finals
Fees for 2027 (in CAD$)
– Teacher registration fee – $25 (live region auditions only)
– Children / Youth entry fee – $30 / class / category
