2025 Season

  • Sunday, January 19 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
    Exploring the I.D.E.A. Toolkit. This toolkit was designed to deliver the foundational building blocks of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-racism as it pertains to us as voice teachers. This ON POINT will be delivered by Renee Salewski.
  • Sunday, February 23 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
    All About Muscle Tension Dysphonia. Learn the facts about this condition and what to do if your student has it. Dr. Elizabeth Lepock and John Corry will share their research on the topic and answer questions from members.

  • Sunday, March 30 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
    Reviewing The New RCM Voice Syllabus. Learn about the new RCM voice syllabus with Dr. Victoria Holland, examiner with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She will walk us through the changes in the repertoire and expectations and will open it up for questions at the end.

    The Singing Athlete” with Amie Debrone: Learn how to use the new science of Neuro Athletics for Singers

    RCM Preparation with Allison Arends: Learn how to prepare our students for RCM vocal exams and demystify the examining room!
  • Sunday, March 24 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
    Freeing the Natural Voice” with Amanda Brunk: Learn how the Linklater method works in the singing studio.
  • Sunday, October 27 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
    A panel of voice instructors from various universities and colleges in southern Ontario will discuss what is expected for students who want to audition for voice or musical theatre in their post-secondary programs. The panel includes Kimberly Barber (Wilfrid Laurier University), Kyle Blair (St. Lawrence College), Breanne Dietrich (Sheridan College), Torin Chiles (Western University), Monica Whicher(University of Toronto).
  • Sunday, November 3 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PMArtist-Centred Adjudication in Popular Styles with Amanda Kind. This session will focus on adjudicating popular styles from an artist development and style-focused lens. Amanda Kind will show videos of kids/teens singing pop songs and explain options on how to adjudicate them and how to offer feedback to produce specific tonal and stylistic results. She will discuss “appropriate” repertoire, resources for backtracks, and more.
